World’s Most Beautiful Bays Congress Canada 2025

Activities on 22 September 2025: “Let’s invest in the future of our remarkable Bays, to better preserve them”

Under the theme “The Great Alliance”, a historical nod to the first treaty of alliance signed in 1603 between the First Nations and the representatives of the King of France, the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Congress Canada 2025 will showcase tourism and the protection of the magnificent bays found all over our planet.
Thanks to the support of Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED), the event can be held in Tadoussac, helping to promote its bay as an international destination while encouraging sustainable tourism. In recognition of this decisive contribution, 22 September will be dedicated to CED, under the theme: “Let’s invest in the future of our remarkable Bays, to better preserve them.”
“Our government has made concrete commitments to show that a strong economy and a healthy environment go hand in hand. That is why we are providing support to develop the strengths specific to the different regions of Quebec, as here in Tadoussac. The Government of Canada’s contribution of $90,000 to the World’s Most Beautiful Bays Association for the organisation of the 2025 Congress reflects our commitment to promoting economic development and making Canada a tourist destination of choice. Congratulations to the organising committee!”
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Member of Parliament for Ahuntsic-Cartierville, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for CED

“Let’s invest in the future of our remarkable Bays, to better preserve them”

150 delegates representing 45 magnificent bays from 23 countries on 4 continents will attend the congress and take part in the activities on 22 September 2025.
The discussions, workshops, conferences and visits will focus mainly on this theme, with a common thread:
“How can tourism development be reconciled with preserving the biodiversity of ecosystems?”

Scientists, entrepreneurs, tourism stakeholders and elected officials will exchange ideas together and create networks and international partnership opportunities.
The day will close with a dinner for dignitaries, ministers, mayors, members of parliament and councillors, as well as organisations such as the Marine Mammal Research Group (GREMM), which contributed to the success of the congress.
We wanted this World’s Most Beautiful Bays congress to enable media specialising in travel, or with tourism and adventure columnists, to take part in our congress and thus become ambassadors for the destination, and for Quebec in general, helping to stimulate international tourism.
Thanks to this partnership, prestigious publications such as Paris-Match, Le Figaro and Ouest France (600,000 readers every day, the largest circulation in France and the French-speaking world), the French public television channel FR3 Corse Méditerranée in collaboration with TV5 Monde, and many media outlets from Asia, Europe and Africa. And of course French-language Canadian media, Radio-Canada, TVA (CIMT)…
This project could not have been carried out without the partnership of Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions. We especially thank CED’s Côte-Nord team for its support.

Tadoussac Bay | Chaleur Bay

The World’s Most Beautiful Bays Congress is an annual gathering of members. Traditionally generously hosted by the Host Bay, it provides an opportunity for delegations from each bay to network, visit the host bay, share projects, express their opinions, and exercise their right to vote at the annual general meeting. This year, we had the privilege and honor of being hosted in Tadoussac Bay and Chaleur Bay.
