Senegal hosts the annual World’s Most Beautiful Bays congress from 2 to 7 December 2026

Senegal will host the annual World’s Most Beautiful Bays congress from 2 to 7 December 2026.
Two Senegalese bays will host this major event: Sine Saloum and Ngor, one of the latest members to join the international network.
On 26 January, at the offices of Senegal’s delegation to UNESCO, the Mayor of Ngor, Magaye Ndiaye, officially received the membership certificate, together with the medal and flag of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays as co-organiser, presented by Bruno Bodard, President, and Omar Achy, President-elect.
According to Magueye Ndiaye, this distinction recognises the exceptional qualities of Ngor Bay, in particular its beauty, its cultural richness and its crucial role in the local economy.
Through this membership, the Municipality of Ngor intends to strengthen its cooperation with the association’s member communities and to promote the exchange of good practices.
